Local tradespeople keep leaving Bosnia and Herzegovina for jobs in the EU, while building sites, workshops and factories still need hands. Many Bosnian firms now fill that gap with workers from Pakistan. Below is how the process runs, which roles suit it, and what Crown takes care of from Islamabad.
The labour gap behind the demand
Every year skilled Bosnians move to Germany, Austria and Croatia for higher pay. Contractors, metal shops and manufacturers are left with projects they cannot staff on schedule, and recruiting trained workers from abroad has become part of normal planning.
Pakistan answers that need with a big, young workforce trained in the right trades, at sensible cost, and with a good habit of finishing contracts. With a reliable sourcing partner, an understaffed Bosnian project becomes a deliverable one.
Roles Bosnian firms ask for
| Field | Positions |
|---|---|
| Building & civil works | Rebar fixers, formwork carpenters, masons, plasterers, site labour |
| Welding & metal | Structural and 6G welders, fabricators, fitters, grinders |
| Factories & wood | Machine operators, furniture and sawmill staff, line workers, packers |
| Roads & utilities | Equipment operators, pipe layers, road gangs |
| Hospitality & logistics | Kitchen helpers, cleaners, room attendants, warehouse hands |
For each field Crown holds vetted candidates, and skills tests plus video interviews let you confirm every person before the permit is filed.

Send demand letter →Permit and residence: the sequence
Non-EU workers in Bosnia and Herzegovina need a work permit sponsored by the employer, followed by temporary residence. The steps are:
- Requirement & choice — you send the demand letter and offer; Crown prepares a shortlist and you select by video call.
- Work permit — you apply to the competent employment service with company papers and the worker's attested certificates.
- D visa — once the permit is issued, the worker applies at the Bosnian embassy for a long-stay visa; Crown completes the Protectorate (BE&OE) emigration clearance in Pakistan at the same time.
- Arrival & residence — the worker registers for temporary residence after entry; Crown arranges the medical, flights, pre-departure briefing and hand-over.
Terms, and working with Bosnian agencies
Crown charges employers nothing for sourcing, screening or skills tests. As sponsor you cover the official permit and visa fees and the package in your offer. Local HR consultancies that bring employers to us can do so under written terms with a non-circumvention clause.
Why work with Crown in Pakistan
Crown has deployed workers abroad for sixteen years under licence OEP 2868/RWP, for energy, construction and industrial clients. Each worker is tested, verified and medically cleared before departure, and attestation, emigration clearance, travel and arrival all sit with one Islamabad team.

What Bosnian employers ask
How soon can workers be in Bosnia and Herzegovina?
Typically eight to fourteen weeks after the demand letter is signed, mostly depending on permit decisions and embassy appointments. Pakistan-side attestation and clearance run alongside to save time.
What will it cost us?
No recruitment fee. You pay the statutory permit and visa costs as sponsor, plus travel and the salary package written into your offer.
Do you test candidates before we meet them?
Yes. Skills tests, document checks and medicals are done first, and you interview shortlisted people by video.
Which roles move fastest?
Welders (structural and 6G), rebar fixers, masons, machine operators and wood and production staff — we keep ready pools of all of them.
Is a trip to Pakistan necessary?
No — interviews and tests are run remotely and you receive verified profiles.
Can a Bosnian agency act for us?
Yes. The agency introduces you, Crown handles the full deployment, and everything is set out in a written agreement with non-circumvention.
Short of trained workers in Bosnia?
Send your requirement or a partnership question; we will come back by the next working day with candidates and plain terms, without obligation.
