Hiring non-EU workers in Greece after Law 5275/2026
Notes for Greek employers · October 2026
The changes
Five changes that matter.
1) Quotas are now set per sector, not per job title. 2) Dependent-work contracts can be as short as six months. 3) Permits last three years and renew for five. 4) Single-permit applications have a 90-day decision deadline. 5) Big projects may get approval for up to 500 workers, and qualifying temp-work agencies can sponsor workers.
