Hiring Pakistani staff in Slovakia: permits explained
Notes for Slovak employers · Third-country hiring · October 2026
The route in one paragraph.
You advertise the vacancy through the labour office (ÚPSVaR). When no local candidate takes it, the office confirms the post can go to a foreign worker. The worker then files for a single permit — one document covering residence and work — decided by the Foreign Police. Shortage occupations get quicker handling; graduate-level posts may use the EU Blue Card.
